Shipping

All products are shipped FOB from our facility in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

Shipping Fees

Shipping costs are based on the weight and destination of your order. Rates are usually discounted. We do not add any surcharges.

Order Processing Time

UPS and Canada Post: Orders containing all in-stock items entered before 12:00 PM MST are typically shipped the same business day.

FedEx and DHL: Orders are shipped the next business day.

USPS (US orders): Orders are held until our next scheduled shipment to Calgary, which occurs twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For example, if your order is ready on a Friday, it will ship the following Tuesday.

If your order includes out-of-stock items or items that need to be produced, we will ship your entire order once all items are available. Typical lead times for out-of-stock items are provided on our website. We make every effort to ship on time; however, projected ship dates are not guaranteed.

Duties, Import Fees, Brokerage & Taxes

For US orders shipped via USPS (up to $800), we prepay all duties and tariffs on your behalf.

For all other shipments, duties, import fees, brokerage fees, and taxes are not included in shipping costs and are the responsibility of the customer.

Insurance

All prepaid shipments are fully insured against loss and damage.

If we are shipping using your own carrier account, we will insure the shipment for half the total order value unless you specifically request otherwise.

Partial Shipments

We typically only ship orders complete. If you need us to ship part of your shipment right away, please get in touch with us to make arrangements.

Discounted/Free Shipping

From time to time, we may offer discounted and free shipping based on the value of your order and the shipping destination. Shipping discounts are automatically calculated based on the items in your cart. Discounted/Free Shipping offers may be discontinued at any time.

Duties, import fees, or taxes assessed by your country’s customs service or customs brokerage fees that are assessed by the carrier are the responsibility of the customer and are not covered by our discounted/free shipping offer.

Postal Shipping Times

Canada Post: Shipping times provided on our website are estimates from Canada Post. They are not guaranteed and can occasionally take longer. If you need your order by a specific date, we recommend UPS Expedited, UPS Express, or DHL Express.

USPS (US orders): Expected delivery time is 8–14 business days. See USPS Postal Shipping for details on how this service works.

USA Orders

We offer two shipping options for US customers:

USPS Postal Shipping — Available for orders up to $800. We handle shipping, and all duties and tariffs are prepaid by us—you pay nothing at delivery. Delivery to any US address, including PO boxes, Alaska, Hawaii, and US territories. Expected delivery time is 8–14 business days. Learn more about USPS Postal Shipping.

Your Own Carrier Account — Available for any order size; required for orders over $800. We ship using your UPS, FedEx, or DHL account. All shipping charges, tariffs, duties, and brokerage fees are billed directly to your carrier account. Learn more about Own Carrier Shipping

Canadian Orders

We can ship to Canadian destinations via Canada Post or UPS. GST/HST is automatically added to all Canadian orders.

International Orders

We will accept International orders from most countries. We can ship to you via Mail or UPS. Duties and brokerage charges may be assessed by your country’s customs service and the shipping company.

Combining Orders

We can combine multiple orders into a single shipment on request to reduce the cost of shipping. Please contact us at service@luxeonstar.com if you would like two or more of your orders combined.

Expediting

To expedite an order, please send an email message to service@luxeonstar.com. We will do our best to respond to your expedition request within 1 business day.

Refused Shipments

A refused shipment occurs when the customer refuses to accept the package during a delivery attempt. Customers who refuse delivery and who do not contact Luxeon Star LEDs to obtain proper return instructions may be assessed a fee to cover return shipping and restocking costs. These fees will be deducted from any credit due to the customer for returned items.

Order Cancellation

You may cancel any unshipped (non-custom) order without penalty.

If your order has already been shipped, you may return the order for a full refund, less any shipping charges and payment fees. Orders over US $100.00 (USD) that have been shipped may be subject to a re-stocking fee. Refund payments are only provided when we have received the returned items.
