The SP-03-T7  high power LED module features 3 LX18-P140-3 high brightness ANSI White Rebel LED soldered to a SinkPAD-II 20mm Tri-Star base. Each LED on this module is individually powered and controlled.

SinkPAD-II technology minimizes thermal resistance by eliminating the dielectric layer so that the LED thermal pad is soldered directly to the aluminum base. This ensures the lowest possible LED junction temperature, resulting in increased LED life, light power output, and overall reliability.

Series connected & color mixing versions of this LED module are available.

Thermal Management

The SinkPAD-II SP-03-T7 module requires careful attention to mounting and cooling to ensure that the junction temperature of the LED is kept well below the maximum rating specified in the Lumileds datasheet.

We recommend that the module be mounted to an aluminum or copper finned heatsink exposed to open air for optimal cooling. The module can be mounted to the heat sink in one of two ways:

Before fastening the module to the heat sink, ensure that the two mating surfaces are perfectly flat and clean to maximize heat transfer to the heatsink. Mechanical fasteners are not recommended for this module.

The bottom of the LED module is electrically neutral, so it is unnecessary to electrically isolate the base from the cooling surface.

All drivers listed here are 100% compatible with the SP-03-T7 LED module. The driver you select will depend on your specific requirements.

High-power LEDs include a primary optic for protection and light optimization. However, a secondary optic is often essential for better focus and light distribution.

All the optics except the Polymer 15 mm optic are 100% compatible with the SP-03-T7 LED module. Polymer 15 mm optics cannot be used if you select the connector option.

Note: The optics listed here may not be ideal for ultraviolet or infrared LEDs. You will need to test the optic for your specific application.
