LED Module
An LED Module is an assembly of one or more LEDs mounted to a thermally conductive base such as an MCPCB or FR-4 PCB. Modules may also include connectors and temperature-sensing components.
LED Light Engine
An LED Light Engine is an integrated assembly of one or more LEDs or modules, an LED driver, and other optical, thermal, mechanical, and electrical components. Light engines are typically ready-to-use (often called “ready-to-light”) and usually only require an input voltage.
Key Difference
The main distinction is that light engines are complete, integrated systems ready for use, while LED modules are components that require additional parts for full functionality.
Note: We only offer LED modules. Additional components must be integrated with our modules for a complete lighting solution.
